Wall Stencils Graffiti Any ideas for a punk-rock themed style room for a teenager?
Well, the title pretty much says it all. I've been wanting to redecorate my room for a while, with a sort of 'punk' theme (when I say 'redecorate', I don't mean painting the walls or anything (but I'm up for some interesting graffiti wall-stencil things....), I mean more like adding some new furniture and just general ideas...if that makes sense) . But on most of the websites I've looked at for ideas, they all suggest loads of bright neon colours, which I'm not too fond of. Any ideas?
By the way, I'm 13, almost 14, a girl, my walls are quite a dark shade of red and I don't really feel like decorating them, and I've got quite a bit of money to spend on some extra furniture. There's also loads of space in my room, and I've already got one wall dedicated to posters of punk bands and a corner/small amount of the main space dedicated to my bass.

With the show now re-locating to London after just leaving Switzerland, there has been a significant increase in the international demand for his work. The artist has provided wearable pieces of artwork for people like Alexander McQueen as well as joining with Gieves & Hawkes, the royal and military tailor. In his early days, he earned a degree in textiles and fashion.
He used to work on creating body armour and the uniform for the British, Egyptian, Indian, Pakistani and Algerian armies, as well as the Metropolian Police, Italian Carabinieri and Mexico City Police. He has also provided work for the artists like Banksy for his exhibition ‘Banksy versus Bristol Museum'.
Famous works from the two include the Peace Pods, which hung from trees and rafters in the Tate Modern, Tate Britain, British Museum and in London's Regent's Park. These pieces of art were designed so that the individuals inside cooperate peacefully to avoid destabilisation of the pods. These works leads us not to question the necessity of war and explore the different ways of creating peace.
Banksy's work typically, includes satirical social and political commentary, and ranges from murals to sculptures. He takes inspiration from the Bristol Underground Scene; the artist claims that it is a distinctive style, which combines stencil and graffiti works developed out of a need to quickly create great pieces.
Recently Banksy has created an experimental film, ‘Exit through the Gift Shop' and has received an Oscar nomination for his motion picture.
