Problem with Java Runtime Environment (JRE)?

I purchased a new Dell computer and for the life of me, cannot figure out a problem. I play alot of Yahoo! games. Specifically Spades and a drawing game called Graffiti. The game loads, but some of the text is too small to read. I mean I don't have bad eyes at all, but I literally have to squint to read the text. In the game of spades via Yahoo, it shows you the user's name sitting at the table and then it shows you the 'table type'. I can see the user's name text just fine, but the 'table type' text is extremely small. Same thing with the Graffiti game. My now ex-boyfriend was able to fix the problem and said it was a java problem. He said he fixed it by loading java virtual machine (JVM) but I did some research which said that JVM is integrated with JRE. JRE is what I currently have. I went to the java website, reinstalled JRE, configured it and ran tests from the site which all showed that JRE was working fine. Don't know what else to do. Desperate

If you are seeing your screen fonts as very very small, possible that your screen resolution is very high. Try reducing the resolution by a step or two.

To change the resolution,
1. goto Desktop.
2. Right click and select properties.
3. Click on Settings tab
4. In "Screen Resolution" section, drag the slider to left by a step and click ok button.

See if you can see the screen correctly. If you still wnat to make them bigger, try dragging the slider to left one more step.
