Would you consider Tacoma,Wa the "ghetto" or the "hood"?
I live in tacoma and everybody says its not the ghetto or the hood but when you walk down the streets all you see is houses boarded up, trash and graffiti everywhere, kids skipping school and doing things they shouldn't be doing, gang bangers walking down the streets, claiming their territory. And lots of people are scared to even walk out there front doors. so i want your opinion...do YOU think it is??
The Hilltop area of Tacoma gets a lot of negative attention on the local evening news. Statistically it may not be the most dangerous neighborhood in the state, but the news coverage makes it appear that way. Other than that Tacoma's pretty nice and to ask if the whole city is a ghetto is too general a statement to possibly be true.
Kids skipping school is another example of the failure of large urban school districts. Tacoma, Seattle, Cleveland Dallas... They are all the same.
