Why do you think some people make assumptions about the intelligence of those interested in astrology?

I'm seeing a big increase in the amount of questions which look as if they are a set-up for attacking the self-esteem of those interested in astrology.

I'm seeing several like this on here, where people feel led to explain their interest or belief in astrology. Then, the best answer is awarded to someone who makes the rudest comment about those interested in astrology.

Do you think that these types truly don't believe we hold positions of authority or that we possess reasonable intelligence? It reminds me of cowardly graffiti writers the way they come into this section with their smears against us.

I have no idea. What I do know is that I strongly believe in astrology based on personality, not birth date, as my astrological sign is incorrect, yet another sign fits me perfect, including the forcast for the day it gives me..every time. I also hold a 3.78 GPA. I don't know why people judge intelligence, but I think maybe because they're afraid. My very intelligent best friend is afraid of astrology because it once predicted the loss of a loved one, and then it came true. Perhaps those who insult are critics because they don't want to believe that their future can be predicted by a simple star sign.
