Peace Sign Graffiti Can you please help me find some bedding to match my room?
I just painted my room dark purple. I am trying to find some bedding to match. I was thinking just black and white, or maybe with one other color that goes well with purple. My bed is twin sized. I really like this bedding:
The problem is, it only comes in king size.
I also like this bedding: http://www.bedbathandbeyond.com/product.asp?order_num=1&SKU=16545384&RN=146&KSKU=119044&
The problem with it is that it is too expensive (and I also don't like the pillow with the peace sign etc. on it).
The color of my room is Perfectly Purple by Olympic. Please leave me links of where I can buy your suggestions online.
Thanks for your help!
you can try these at ikea they are very inexpensive
The rest of the country is just learning what New York natives found ago years ago - that Brooklyn is a great place to live! What makes it so? Most importantly, Brooklyn provides a safe, more affordable alternative to Manhattan - and still has all the culture, shopping and dining choices you could want.
But before you pack up bags and move to Brooklyn, there are a few important things to know. The following information is designed to help those who are looking for a Brooklyn apartment to rent - and want to get the most for their money while choosing a location that best meets their lifestyle.
Tips for Renting an Apartment in Brooklyn
- Get to know the neighborhood. Brooklyn is one of the most diverse, eclectic places to live in New York. But not all parts of Brooklyn are created equal. Some areas are safer than others. Check the building you are visiting for graffiti, bars on the windows or heavy steel gates. These things may be a sign of criminal activity in the area.
- The neighborhood, part two. If you have young children, it is a good idea to check out public schools in the area before you choose a Brooklyn apartment to rent. Brooklyn, New York offers some of the most forward-thinking public schools in the country - just make sure you live the right district to attend them.
- Choose the right lease length. A long-term lease of more than one year is a good idea if you feel confident that you will be staying in the area for an extended period of time. Month-to-month leases offer added flexibility, but give the landlord the power to evict you on short notice if their own financial situation changes.
- Make sure the apartment meets your budget. As we mentioned earlier, Brooklyn is a good deal when compared to the extremely high rents of Manhattan. However, that doesn't mean it is a free ride! Consider your budget carefully before you rent. A good rule of thumb is that your rent should make up 30% of your monthly, take-home salary.
- Count the common walls. The more common walls that your apartment shares with other apartments, the greater the chance that you will be subject to noise from the other units. If peace and quiet is something that is important to you, then try to rent a Brooklyn apartment with few common walls, and limited exposure to busy city streets.
- Read your lease carefully. Even though most landlords are honest, it is still a good idea to read your lease carefully before you sign on the dotted line. For example, it is a good idea to know how much of a security deposit you will need to leave, as well as the rules on damage to the apartment should something unexpected occur.
- Ask about cosmetic changes. Not all apartments let you make cosmetic changes to your unit. If you want to paint, add things to the walls or other changes, it is good to check the lease first and make sure those things are acceptable to your new landlord.
