The History of Los Angeles Graffiti Art
Can you recommend any good artists who use women throughout history in their works?
For my VCE art folio im working around the idea of women in the past century and how living in a certain decade influences your identity.
I was wondering if you guys knew any artists that work with similar themes, so paint mostly girls as subject matter and if they are from different times that's even better. I dont mind if its a painter, photographer, graffiti artist... whatever is good I enjoy all art forms ![]()
Just exploring a few options for my inspirations, my favorites are kukula, camille rose garcia, audrey kawasaki, laura laine and lara jade if that helps.
Thank-you!
Edgar Degas is known for his depicting of women from different cultures and backgrounds, portraying anything from a scene of ballerinas, a painting of bourgeois women, and a compiling a large collection of women bathing.
