are all the main characters from the grand theft auto vice city, san andreas dead?

i was playing gta 4 and i went to this building in Bohan and there is graffiti that says rip tommy, rip carl, rip claude and the other main characters from the other gtas.its near the safe house just so you know

They're either "dead" meaning the series in which they are in is "dead". Because Rockstar has made a new story in the Grand Theft Auto series. They've forgotten about everything in the old GTA series in terms of story and city. The city for Liberty City in GTA: IV is new so they had to create a new story and characters. They couldn't put Tony Ciprianni in the new GTA because it wouldn't make sense if he's in a city that's completely different to which he used to be in. It might not sound like it doesn't but if you think about it, it does.

If it's not that, they're dead because they're making a prequel or sequel to the old series of GTA (GTA III to SA) which will probably be called GTA: SA stories where they're all dead. But in all of the other stories, it was before the original. VCS 2 years was before GTA: Vice City and GTA: LCS was 3 years before GTA: III. So I doubt it will be like that. Or maybe they're not even making San Andreas Stories. Maybe they're making another game that's in that series that's entirely new...where all the protagonists are dead!
