How much should he charge for a mural when it's a 42' wall?
My boyfriend has been summoned to paint a mural for a hotel pool near Disneyland but he doesn't know how much he should charge. He is really good although he's mostly done graffiti - not on random walls - in the past (go to http://www.myspace.com/seraphofirate if you have a myspace and you can see his stuff).
He'd be doing a total of 3 walls (one is 42 feet long) and a gate with three arches. He's supposed to paint the Little Mermaid and Nemo (any suggestions for the third arch are appreciated), so it shouldn't be too detailed. Should he charge hourly or for the whole thing?

He could charge by the total job or charge by the hour. He should have some kind of written agreement or contract. He needs to figure how much time and the material/supplies he is using. Then get a non-refundable 40% deposit of the estimated job. That money gets the materials/supplies. Then he needs a payment time table for the remaining balance as the work progresses until finished.
