Graffiti Wall Background

Simple photoshop question!!?
i have recently bought photoshop, and am now having a few troubles using it.
My first problem is that i cant seem to figure out how to put one layer onto another.
I have one pic of my friend, i have removed the background and then used the lasso tool to highlight the picture.
I then have another pic just of a wall with graffiti on it.
how do i put the two together- i would like it to look like she is in front of the wall, if any1 could help that would be great.
PS. i have had this program for less than 1 day so a detailed step by step process would be great. i have looked for some video clips but cant find any, they would also help. =D THANKS
dunno if it makes a difference but its the CS3 one!
If you've been able to select the foreground image of your friend using lasso tool then you're most of the way there.
Once you've got the image selected as you want change to move tool and copy the image (either through keyboard control c/command c (if you're on a mac) or through the Edit menu.
Now open the file that contains the background you want to use and paste your selection in this file, it will automatically appear on a new layer. You can scale and position the pasted image and once you're happy with it click on the move tool to apply.
Do a save as rather than a save and rename file so you don't overwrite your background image in case you want to use it for something else later on.
From the layers palette you can select merge visible layers from the drop down menu and if need be use the healing and/or blur tools at a very small brush diameter setting to touch up any harsh lines etc. to make it look more natural.
