Can any 1 tell me wut they think is going 2 hapn 2 my friend? Plz set aside any judgemental crap u have 2 say.

He is a graffiti writer. This past wknd he was arrested for tagging a wall in a bar. He was taken to the police station & questioned. He had some stickers and paint markers in his possession, which were all taken. Some were matched to graffiti from around the city. He was booked in, & bonded himself out for $890. Two days later the police came to his apartment with a search warrent. They took all his artwork and markers, photos he had taken of graffiti around the city (only SOME of which HE had done), his cell phone (which had pictures of graffiti in it), a few spray paint cans, an air filtering mask used for painting, and various graffit magazines, books and drawings he had done. The police told him they will turn it all over to the D.A. & try to use it against him in court. They also said they have 15 possible reports against him from around the city. What typically may happen if he is convicted of some or all of these graffiti charges?

I can practically guarentee you that he's going to spend some time in the ACI-how long is the question.
From what I understand, in most counties a single graffiti offense is considered a misdemeanor. Several incidents of graffiti vandalism usually will make it a felony which means jail time. Also, damages in excess of $500 will in many counties bump an otherwise misdemeanor to a felony offense. As I said, it sounds like some time in minimum, and if he has any kind of prior record, things only get worse. Your friend's best hope is a reduced sentence w/ the help of a lawyer.
