Graffiti Remover Products
We used an industrial oil based graffiti cleaner on the carpet, how can I remove it?
We had a little "crystal lite" stain on the carpet that we've tried to remove with nail polish remover, bleach, laundry detergent, and a steam cleaner. Nothing got the stain out. Then, my "father" asked a janitor at his work what might remove it, so he brought home stain removal products.
He poured a "graffiti remover" product upon the stain and soaked it into the carpet and tried to clean it with a brillo pad. Now not only can we NOT get the cleaner out (since it is oil based), but it's stinking up the entire appartment and we are getting sick, since opening all the windows is not working to de-fumigate.
How can we remove this "cleaner" from the carpet and get rid of the fumes? We are no longer concerned about the stain we were once trying to fix!
You may not get something out like this out at all. The oil based product is probably all the way down into the subflooring. Try white paper towels and put a weight on it to absorb any and all liquids from the carpet. This will take many tries and replace towels often. The weight you put on should be something that the oil based cleaner won t harm.
Be ready though to buy new carpet or possible lose security deposit. I don t think any thing will get this out.. I wish you GL
