will interior spray varnish make my blackbook pieces look shiny or glossy or just mess it up

I use a Krylon Crystal Clear spray right on my sketchbook page when I do a color piece or sketch I want to stay nice. Depending on what you used to do the piece, it probably will be fine. It's best to do a test spot - squigle a bunch of lines with all the materials you're using, spray it, and check for any reactions or bleeding after it dries. It keeps those pages smudge free and makes 'em all shiny, and it'll give your book a very authentic smell for a few days.
