When did hip hop hit the burbs.....? How did this change hip hop....?
Please note that when I say Hip Hop I am referring to collective culture, for those who do not know what the culture embodies here is the list

pt.2 Why do so many people think that rap and hip hop are two separate things....rap is only a manifestation of the collective hip hop culture.....
When it hit the burbs you had a lot of caucasian kids trying to emulate and imitate what their african american counterparts actually had to live through each and everyday. They started forming little fake azz gangs and stirring up trouble in the burbs and then they started rapping and even began becoming accepted in underground music. They have taken the "underground" game to a new level because so many underground rappers are now actually suburb kids who have the drive to become rappers. They don't really know what it's like to live and die on the streets but they want to rap so their lyrics are a bit different. A lot more of the cash, money and hoes has gone away from a certain percentage of the underground music because of this. They are more philosophical and speaking on terms of everyday life and what is really going on. Some say they are imitators but I think they are breaking into something that is new and starting a new genre.
