Graffiti Books Graffiti Art Beginner Graffiti help?
I need some help with starting out doing some graffiti work.
I am wanting to use graffiti in a college art project but don't really know where or how to start.
What are the basic paints and spray cans that are needed, and all the different style of can caps that are needed to do spraying, outline, filler etc.
I also heard you can use markers to make pieces as well and what the best ones are.
Just need to know the basic brands and things to buy, and where to buy then.Preferably in the UK but if not its ok. And also if possible some sites or books that could help me learn how to do some good art. thanks
Basic spray paint brands > Montana and Belton I would suggest
I doubt you can use markers to use peices unless its on a really small board or something.
New york skinnys are caps you can use for outlines
Pink dots for filling as they are a fat cap
Some advice for makin a style of graffiti, use rectangles to make the shapes, basic shapes like this text, then when you get that then start to curve and manipulate the rectangles, but it takes time.
If its for a college project I dont think ull have the time to get to manipulating it well so you might get the stage of just doing standard lettering but you could try your hand at curving the rectangles *just slightly dont get mad with it*.
Hope this helps abit and good luck with the project.

As Basil Bunting wrote about Ezra Pound's Cantos, "There are the Alps... you will have to go a long way round/if you want to avoid them." Led Zeppelin's work is the central fact of 1970s rock & roll; in its loving homage to and shameless piracy from the blues, its glorious and wretched excess, its transformation of hippie and folk-rock graces into a foundation-shaking kaboom, and its offhanded myth-making, the band turned everything caught in its wake into a reaction to it--or against it...
