will a graffiti pilot marker go through a piece of paper, like if i write in my black book will it seep through the next page? what about a burner marker?

i read in a book once that during the war, (trying not to sound like albert from only fools and horses) someone wrote on a wall, "a woman needs a man like a fish needs a bicycle." i thought, what an odd thing to write. i suspect it was from a woman who did`nt like men. or maybe a woman who had a bad relationship with a man. i hope not all women view us men like this. i also saw an advert for guinness saying not everything in black and white makes sense, then showed a cartoon of a fish riding a bicycle. what do you think?
I have been married twice. I married for love, not because I needed a man. However my first husband was the type that felt women were an inferior species so I can understand that quote.
My husband of 24 years is a sweatheart that I can say nothing bad about.
