Mindless vandalism or the most modern art form. Not including tagging, which is more about quantity then quality. So your average two color throw-up to the most complicated of productions. How do you feel about the hip-hop born art form?

I marvel at it, some i have seen is really amazing. I used to travel to work by train and it would brighten up my day when i spotted a new picture sprayed over night on the sidings.
The political slogans i have seen have been profound and it proves that young people are aware, care and have a means of expression.
I am all for it as long as it isn't mindless and/or on a private building

Should Graffiti Be illegal?


why is graffiti illegal ?! it is art.. i believe graffiti being illegal is a ridiculous law. its art and it shows how creative people can be. what i don't understand is why is it ok to paint murals on walls but you cant spray paint on the wall. its the same exact thing except you pretty much use Spray cans and your throw up your name. that's it. SO WHY IS IT ILLEGAL? (Give Me YOUR Opinion

Ok seriously some people need to stfu. Writers dont paint cars or private property. No one is going to paint on someones computer or keyboard wtf? There are some that do...and thats what gives graffiti a bad name.
Also gang graffiti is totally different from real graffiti. I hate when people associate the two.
Im sure graffiti will never be legal but the whole illegal part is the fun part. Once you do something illegal you feel like your the best.
I write graffiti and its fun. Its a passion for me and idc what other people say.
