Graffiti Art Poster
I'm thinking about putting up some posters with wheat paste: Is it illegal?
I want to cover some ugly tags in my neighborhood with some real art. I did some marker drawings of birds and flowers, and now I want to wheat paste them over the old tags. Will the police be more accepting of this if I get caught? Is it even illegal? The fines in my area are $100 mandatory plus 10 hours community service for graffiti, but I'm not sure that what I'm doing is considered graffiti. (I live in Denver.)
Illegal. The Police will probably not be any more lenient towards you as they would an idiot with paint. Your best bet would be to contact the property owner(s) and tell them of your plan. They may just be willing to let you cap the nonsense with some of your artwork.. Tagging tends to be a community eyesore.. If you present some stuff to help 'beautify' the neighborhood, you may just get more support than you originally intended.
Or, you could just get an orange vest and go out mid-day and do it.. (Considering these are commercial areas..) If you look like youre not doing anything wrong, people tend not to really notice.

4 questions on street art?
i have a few questions on this subject, im so so so intrested, any help will be great.
1. any new ideas for street art, i mean somthing other than stivker, stencil, wood block and graffiti, or wheat paste posters.
2. is there in order or steps to how a throw-up or piece is made, it seems like these are done in layers you know, or is just plan old any way ya want?
3. is there a site with some good street art, where members who join can upload there own work and has good articles and helpful info?
4.i live in a small town, so unlike the city its not so easy to "paint the town red" without the usual hassle of being caught etc. any ideas of some good spots where the work can still be seen but isnt risky?

Well how about one anwer for them all, first of all street art is truning up more and more in same town, and people who own bussiness are starting to let them do their work on the sides of their buildings as long as it is tasteful, thus it gives them a changes to experiment on real buildings, and also for the pupulic to see their work, and get some exporser. You know it can be any way, you can plan it out, or you can just let it flow with your brush, there really is no rule, and if you start to go and check out websites on it,and want to go and get ideas well then you are not using your own mind to creat, so keep that in mind too.
