Graffiti Art Form
Graffiti Art Form
is MCing the only non progressive art form of the 4 elements?

what i mean is you could put put any of the old timers in there prime up against any new artist in there prime and there is no clear winner.

but say you put a dj from back in the day against a dj of today todays dj would kill the dj from back in the day.

i would say the same goes for b-boying and graffiti.

it seems like theres room for technical improvement when it comes to djing, bboying and graffiti but when it comes to MCing the technical part can only go so far.

just a thought. what do you think?

I think emceeing has definitely evolved over the years, but there's only so far it can go because it's the one that is the most based on natural talent rather than technical advancements.
Although I guess you could say the same for breaking and writing too.

Hmm... I started off ready to agree with you, but actually, I think in terms of what you're saying here, DJing is the only progressive art form of the elements.

The other 3 come from skills that can be honed by the individual without any reliance on technology. DJing, on the other hand, whilst it does require a lot of skill from the DJ has benifitted greatly from technological advances.
