The first is a short story about a man who wakes up in the morning to find that everything is going wrong- his shirt is dirty, the sun's too bright, he feels sick and to top it off he's late for work. When his cat comes into the kitchen meowing for food, he gets distracted by it and ends up burning his toast, which makes him just snap and trash his kitchen. After he's calmed down, the cat wont take the food it wanted and when he returns from work, it's waiting for him, having still not eaten the food.
