Gang Graffiti Tags Neighborhood
How can I help combat graffiti in my neighborhood?
.. other than calling code enforcement when I see it?
I already call it in the day I see it, but after the city removes it (paints over it), a couple of days later, it's back. It's the same gang tag, and in the same locations.
man you would have to get the whole community involved, including police, neighborhood, gang members or taggers.

What to Do About Graffiti?
Someone has tagged our electric box twice but I am afraid to remove it. We live in a nice neighborhood but about two years ago several new families moved in and their teens seem to have brought gangs into the area.
I really want to paint over it but am afraid that if they see us doing it they will do something. I am also afraid to leave it. We have young children so all of this is a scary thing.
Would a gang associate my house with this gang that tagged my box? What should I do about it?
Most of those tags are not real gangs, but kids who are want to be.
Paint over any tag as soon as you see it.
They will stop wasting their money on paint and move on to another site.
If you leave the tag there will be more tags along with it.
They are not going to do something if they see you paint over the tag.
