Promotional Items Help and Serve
All over the place there are issues with bringing in enough business for a company to stay afloat. What are the options with this situation? You have to keep going in such tough times. Whether the business is large or small it is an issue just to keep the doors open. to pull in more customers you need to get the word out and put your company in view. You can get a TV ad or do a radio spot but that is very expensive. There is also the plan of using print ads in the newspaper of your city or the smaller community paper.
What is the way to get through this and get some new life in your company? Get back to basics. You have to cut corners where you can. It is OK if you have management kept busy stuffing envelopes. Everyone is happy to be employed right now. If you purchase an address list then you can get some cute stuff with your company information on it and send it to people close to your business area. There are magnets that can be made very colorful and you know will end up on the fridge holding a preschoolers drawing up. Eventually the need for your product or services will arise and there you are-right in view!
Promotional merchandise can be as varied as you can be creative. You can design a shirt so well that people will want to buy one them and also end up spending money at your business on other things. A great idea would be to have a contest for a t-shirt design. People will get all excited. You can have age levels for the winners. The prize is a promotional shirt with their drawing or photo or graffiti style logo that you will have printed on the shirt. You also include your company info on the shirt. The winners get free shirts and all their family will come in and get one. Especially if you sell it cheap!
Don't forget about pens as a handout. You know people are forever passing around pens and dropping them. Someone else will pick it up and your logo gets looked at once more. Although there is not a wide space for information on a pen you can still put a name and number or a logo and website. There are some silly pens that people will want to hold on to so look at all the options. I personally love those pens that light up when you write. I can't ever keep them though because the kids end up snaking them and using them at school.
The most important part of using promotional items is putting company information out for people to find. You don't know how many people may be in need of your particular services and just haven't decided where to go yet. If someone is walking around wearing your very nicely done logo then it will get noticed. As long as there is a location, whether street or web address printed on your product then you can be found. There are so many interesting ways to get out in view.
