Create Graffiti Art Form
Is graffiti an art form?
After having heard the title of the documentary "The Subconscious Art of Graffiti Removal" somebody I know said "Nothing that destroys art can be considered art". Now, isn't urban scape also a form of art that is being destroyed by graffiti? I believe there are a lot of architects, designers and engineers working on creating things that look good. Then why is graffiti considered a form of art if it destroys what is already art?

Graffiti is the truest form of art because it is neither created for critical acclaim nor for monetary gain?
An artist once quoted this to me (he found it in a bathroom stall of the art building) and it has since been ponderous to me. It seems to make sense, but I wonder, how do other artists feel about this quote?
Is anyone online?
i like the quote, but-
I don't think there is such thing as 'the truest from of art'.
Simply because - it's art.
Isn't art supposed to be different for each person?
And in saying that, i guess some people are going to agree with the quote while others may dismiss as nonsense.
By the way, I love graffiti - not so much the tags, more the funny or thought inspiring little things you find scrawled along the gutter or the beautiful pieces thrown up upon a wall.
