Cave Paintings Graffiti art question!! help please?
what are some similarities and differences between cave paintings in the prehistoric era... vs graffiti art
Cave paintings were done on the walls and ceiling of the homes of the inhabitants. They most likely were used as records and illustrations in storytelling, probably not so much an expression of artistic talent. Graffiti art, in various forms and media, is always public and can be anything from expression of artistic talent to territorial "tagging" by local gang members. However, graffiti art does sometimes illustrate records and storytelling of (usually) racial conflict, ethnic lifestyle, etc.
How are ancient cave paintings and modern day graffiti similar and different?
I want to get some information about this question.
I try to find detail by myself but I got it just a little bit.
anyone who know about arts. please gimme some info.
Ancient cave paintings were drawn for communication or religious purposes, at least this is a theory. There is no known evidence as to why cave paintings were drawn. Graffiti on the other hand is drawn as a form of expression. One huge difference between these two are the materials used. Graffiti is drawn with aerosols, spray paints whereas cave paintings are from natural pigments found in nature such as reeds, ochre or hematite etc.
